Early Life and Club Career

Miroslav Gajdusek was born on 20 September 1951, in Otrokovice, Czechoslovakia. He began his football career with his hometown club, Jiskra Otrokovice. In 1969, he joined FC Gottwaldov and, a year later, transferred to Dukla Prague.

With Dukla Prague, Gajdusek enjoyed a successful tenure, winning the Czechoslovak First League twice (1977 and 1979) and the Czechoslovak Cup once (1981). He made a total of 355 appearances for the club, scoring 77 goals. Primarily a midfielder, Gajdusek also played as a center forward on occasion. He retired from club football in 1984 with FC Vítkovice.

International Career

Gajdusek made his debut for the Czechoslovakian national team in 1971 and went on to make 48 appearances, scoring four goals. He was a member of the team that won the bronze medal at the 1980 UEFA European Championship.
