Early Life and Education
Misak Hidiryan was born on January 16, 1982, in Shahumyan, Azerbaijan. His parents, Oganes and Amalia, were prominent professionals in the town's administration and archives. The family's life was disrupted by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and they were forced to emigrate due to the violence.
In 1993, the Hidiryans arrived in Yerevan, Armenia, where Misak completed his secondary education at School No. 125. He then pursued higher education in Ukraine. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Law from the International Institute of Economics and Law (MIEP) in 2002. He later earned two Master's degrees: one in Banking from the Kyiv University of Market Relations in 2009 and another in Finance, Banking, and Insurance from the Dnipropetrovsk State Agrarian-Economic University in 2018.
Professional Career
From 2004 to 2016, Hidiryan held leadership positions in Ukrainian corporate banks, gaining valuable experience in the financial sector. In 2013, he made his first foray into agriculture, acquiring land in the Poltava region.
In 2017, Hidiryan founded AGR INVEST HOLDING LTD (Cyprus), which marked the inception of A.G.R. Group. The holding company aimed to invest in Ukrainian agriculture. In 2020, A.G.R. Group opened its elevator complex in Seredyna-Buda, Sumy region. The following year, the group expanded its operations by acquiring two companies in the Kherson region, increasing its land bank to 32,000 hectares.
Philanthropy
In honor of his father, Misak Hidiryan established the Khidiryan Oganes Misakovich Charitable Foundation in 2014. The foundation supports educational, cultural, and sports projects, and has provided assistance to Ukrainian medical institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hidiryan is the foundation's primary sponsor.
Personal Life
Misak Hidiryan is married to Tamara Hidiryan (born in 1983), and they have four children. He has two brothers, Arsen (born in 1988) and Samvel (born in 1983).
