Early Musical Beginnings

Misha Limansky started his musical journey at a young age. At the age of 4, his father, a professional jazz musician and saxophonist, sat him down at the piano and began teaching him music theory.

Education and Musical Exploration

In 1972, Misha started attending school and during his academic years, he changed schools a total of five times. In 1975, he began studying wind instruments, specifically the clarinet and saxophone. He played in the children's wind and jazz orchestras at the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren in Kramatorsk, under the direction of his father, Vovk I.I.

During this time, Misha also developed a passion for vocal-instrumental ensembles, which were organized in schools, colleges, and institutes. He tried his hand in four amateur collectives from 1979 to 1982, and eventually found himself working as a substitute bass guitarist in local restaurants such as "Kosmos," "Otдых," "Polet," and "Kramatorsk" from 1982 to 1984.

In 1980, Misha enrolled in the Kramatorsk Machine-Building College and participated in artistic self-expression, playing in a vocal-instrumental ensemble. In 1982, he was invited to lead an ensemble at the Kramatorsk Higher Military-Political School "Zarya." In 1984, he was called up to serve in the Soviet Army. He served in Belarus, near Minsk, spending his first year in reconnaissance and his second year in the division's orchestra.

Career and Musical Pursuits

Returning to Kramatorsk in 1986 after completing his military service, Misha realized that the ongoing perestroika, or restructuring, made it challenging to pursue a musical career in a provincial city. He decided to work in manual labor jobs, such as a craftsman in a school, a lathe operator at a factory, and a forklift driver in a mineral wool workshop. Dissatisfied with the financial rewards, Misha left these jobs and became a taxi driver. Throughout this period, he never parted with music, consuming it in large quantities, but the idea of creating his own music never left him.

Meeting Anatoliy Dneprov and Recent Years

In 2001, Misha's life took a new turn when he crossed paths with Anatoliy Dneprov. This encounter led to the start of their collaboration, and in February 2003, they began working on an album. The project involved talented musicians such as Boris Vdovichenko, Alexey Pereskokov, Alexander Shtayura, and Julia Olmezova.

Today, Misha Limansky is married with two children, a daughter and a son. He recently became a grandfather. He continues to write songs and performs, not only his own music but also covers.
