Biography of Moldakul Narymbetov
Moldakul Narymbetov is a Kazakh artist and the leader of the art group "Kyzyl Tractor". He is one of the most prominent representatives of contemporary art in Kazakhstan. Born in 1948 in the village of Glaba-Sai in the South Kazakhstan region (now Uzbekistan), Narymbetov completed his education at the Benkov Tashkent Art School in 1974. He later graduated from the Art and Graphics Faculty of the Abay Kazakh State Pedagogical Institute in 1990.

Narymbetov was one of the leaders of the "Kyzyl Tractor" group, which was formed in Chimkent in 1990 and was initially called "Transavantgarde" until 1995. Since 1977, he has participated in over forty international exhibitions and has actively collaborated with Marat Gelman. In addition to his artistic work, Narymbetov also opened a school of contemporary art.
In October 2011, Narymbetov's art installations, "Scarab Beetle" and "Black Angel," made from over a thousand old car tires, were installed in Perm. These art objects showcase his creativity and unique approach to using unconventional materials.
As a Kazakh artist, Moldakul Narymbetov has made significant contributions to the contemporary art scene in Kazakhstan and has gained recognition both nationally and internationally for his distinctive style and innovative use of materials.
