Moritz Cantor

Moritz Cantor was a German historian of mathematics. In 1851, he earned his doctorate from the University of Heidelberg, where he later became a professor.

Zeitschrift für Mathematik und Physikrude

In 1859, Cantor began contributing to the Zeitschrift für Mathematik und Physikrude, where he served as editor of the historical section. In 1879, this section was separated into a specialized publication.

Legacy

In 1970, the International Astronomical Union named a crater on the Moon after Moritz Cantor. The crater is located on the far side of the Moon and is named Mons Moving de Cantor.
