Maurice Kahn: Israeli Investor and Billionaire

Maurice Kahn is an Israeli investor, entrepreneur, and billionaire. With a personal fortune of approximately one billion dollars, he has been recognized as one of the wealthiest and most influential individuals on the planet by Forbes, a renowned economic journal. Currently, Kahn resides with his family in Israel.

Investments and Business Ventures

Kahn is the main investor in Amdocs, a company that provides software and telecommunication services to clients. Additionally, he is a co-owner of Aurec Group, an investment firm that represents a collection of various private companies.

Environmental Activism

Kahn's involvement in environmental activities holds significant importance. Among his initiatives are numerous organizations, including Coral World International and a network of research observatories in Israel, Hawaii, and Australia. His son, Benjamin, is a marine biologist who actively participates in his father's endeavors.

In the late 1990s, Maurice Kahn began conducting environmental campaigns when his son returned to Israel after spending fifteen years building underwater observatories along the coral reefs of Australia and Hawaii, alongside Nobel laureate Al Gore. Several years prior to that, Kahn senior constructed an underwater observatory in Eilat and subsequently established the non-profit organization Zalul, with the primary goal of combating pollution in the Red Sea area.

After some time, Maurice Kahn and his organization joined the Society for the Protection of Nature and began collaborating with other environmental groups. Despite his efforts, not everyone was satisfied with the billionaire's activities. Some agricultural and fishing companies repeatedly attempted to portray Kahn as more interested in personal and selfish goals rather than environmental work.

However, all attempts to tarnish Maurice Kahn's reputation proved unsuccessful. This was largely due to the support he received from numerous court cases and investigations, culminating in a highly significant decision. The main aspect of the decision was a resolution to eradicate unauthorized fishing in the Red Sea, implemented around mid-2008.
