Early Life and Career
Myron Boadu began his football journey at the tender age of 12, joining the academy of Dutch club AZ Alkmaar. Before the 2016/17 season, he progressed to the club's reserve team, quickly making his mark. On September 3, 2016, he made his debut against Excelsior Maassluis and scored an impressive goal in just his 23rd minute on the pitch. In that season, Boadu racked up 9 appearances for Jong AZ, contributing 6 goals.
Breaking into the First Team
Prior to the 2017/18 season, Boadu was poised to train with the AZ first team. However, a severe knee injury set him back, causing him to miss almost an entire year of action. On May 6, 2018, he finally made his Eredivisie debut, replacing Mats Seuntjens in the 67th minute of a match against Zwolle.
Rise to Stardom
The 2018/19 season marked a turning point for Boadu, who became a regular starter. In the opening match against NAC Breda, he opened his account in the 42nd minute. Boadu also represented the Netherlands at the youth international level, participating in the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
Transfer to Monaco
On August 4, 2021, Boadu penned a five-year deal with French club AS Monaco. He now plays as a striker for the Ligue 1 side, continuing his promising football career at the highest level.
