Biographical Profile of Minister Natália Milanová

Natália Milanová is a Slovak politician who currently holds the position of Minister of Culture in the Matovič Cabinet led by Igor Matovič.

Early Life and Education

Born in Bratislava on 12 June 1982, Milanová completed her secondary education at the L'udovít Novák Grammar School from 1996 to 2000. She went on to pursue a degree in teaching Slovak language and history at the Faculty of Education, Comenius University in Bratislava from 2000 to 2005.

Career and Political Involvement

After graduating, Milanová worked as a teacher at the ESPRIT Private School in Bratislava from 2006 to 2009. She then joined the advertising agency Effectivity s.r.o. in 2009 as a project manager until 2013.

Milanová's passion for horses has shaped her career in various ways. She has been involved in equestrian activities, including training young riders, organizing and moderating horse races, and conducting hippotherapy. She also worked with stunt groups such as Borseus and Martin Uhrovčik, contributing to the production of Slovak and international films like "The Last Legion."

Her involvement in the arts led to the establishment of the interactive equestrian theater in 2011. Since 2012, Milanová has been the president of Equiteatro, a multisensory theater company for school-age children. She also contributed to the children's magazine Fifík for several years. In 2012, she authored "History of the Brave Slovak Nation," one of the first children's books on Slovak history.

Milanová joined the Ordinary People party in 2014. She entered politics as a member of the National Council on 17 January 2018, succeeding Jozef Viskupič who was elected President of the Trnava Region.

Ministerial Appointments

On 21 March 2020, Milanová was appointed Minister of Culture in the Matovič Cabinet. She currently holds the portfolio of Minister of Justice in the Eduard Heger Cabinet since 1 April 2021.
