Early Life and Education
Natalia Nikolaevna Eremenko was born on August 13, 1954, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to Nikolai Chertenkov, a shoemaker. She received her artistic and philological education in Poltava and Moscow, respectively.
Artistic and Literary Career
Eremenko worked as an applied artist in Tashkent and participated in a two-year poetry seminar at the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan from 1991 to 1993. Despite being recommended for membership, her application was canceled due to her critical remarks about the organization's leadership. She authored a book of poetry that was not approved for publication by literary officials.
Publications and Collaborations
Eremenko's poetry appeared in newspapers and magazines in Uzbekistan, Israel, and Russia, as well as in almanacs and collective anthologies. She collaborated with poets Rudolf Barensky and Alexander Arkadyevich Feinberg.
Bardian Movement
From the early 1990s, Eremenko actively participated in the bard movement in Uzbekistan, serving on juries and organizing committees for festivals. Her poetry was set to music by both bard and pop musicians, including Uzbek artists Natalia Nurmukhamedova and Sergey Krylov.
Personal Life and Legacy
In her later years, Eremenko was in a civil partnership with musician Nikolai Ilyashenko. She passed away on March 1, 2013, after heart surgery. Her poetry was posthumously published in anthologies and on websites. In 2019, her first personal book, "Between Us, Women...," was released in Tashkent, featuring her poems, articles, and artwork.
