Natasha Yarovenko, an actress and model, was born on July 23, 1979, in the beautiful coastal city of Odessa, Ukraine. Growing up in a family of engineers, Natasha stood out with her striking appearance as she walked the streets of Barcelona. With her slender figure, long legs, large eyes, and radiant smile, she couldn't go unnoticed in the crowd. It was her sister's, Lidia Delgado, a renowned Spanish fashion designer, photographer who couldn't resist and proposed that Natasha participate in a modeling contest. This contest marked the beginning of Natasha's modeling and acting career.
Early Life and Education
Like most Soviet children, Natasha attended a regular middle school, where she excelled in singing, classical and contemporary dance, and theater arts. A diligent student, she always strived to achieve top grades. In addition to her school activities, Natasha also attended ballet lessons, which filled her schedule from morning till evening. The year 1991 was challenging for many Soviet families, including Natasha's. She recalls how she and her parents worried about the collapse of the USSR. However, life went on, and Natasha continued her education and extracurricular activities.
Natasha's linguistic abilities allowed her to study Russian and English at the university, and she also became proficient in Ukrainian, Spanish, and Italian. Her passion for philology played a significant role in her later career in the film industry. At the age of 19, Natasha moved to Moscow, falling in love with the city's fast-paced lifestyle. Her mother already lived in Moscow at the time. A year later, the Ukrainian company her mother worked for transferred her to their representative office in Spain, and the whole family relocated to Barcelona. Despite the significant change, Natasha embraced the adventure and actively embraced her new life in the city.
Career in Modeling and Acting
In Barcelona, Natasha caught the attention of Lidia Delgado, who invited her to participate in fashion shows, providing her with valuable exposure and experience in the modeling industry. As her career progressed, Natasha became recognized on the streets. It was during this time that she met another influential figure in her life, director Lidia Zimmerman, who invited Natasha to audition for the lead role in the film "Frozen Lady". Overcoming her doubts and fears, Natasha took the risk and was selected for the role, marking the beginning of her successful acting career.
After gaining experience in the TV series "Ventdelplà," it was "Frozen Lady" that helped Natasha gain confidence and genuine pleasure in her work. She became accustomed to starting her day at 6 am and immersing herself in the shooting of various stories. However, after completing the film, Natasha felt bored. To overcome her boredom, she appeared in the film "Youth". Her real popularity came after starring in the series "Central Hospital," where she portrayed a girl who had an accident and discovered she was pregnant by someone other than her loved one. Natasha's brilliant performance in this complex role resonated with the audience.
Following this success, Natasha appeared in the series "Lalola" and the thriller "Black Buenos Aires". Her performance in the film "Room in Rome" directed by Julio Medem earned her a nomination for the prestigious Spanish Goya Award. Working with a renowned director was a dream come true for the young actress. Learning that she would be acting opposite famous Spanish actress Elena Anaya thrilled Natasha. Memorizing 19 pages of dialogue on the train, Natasha returned to feeling fear and doubt during the filming - could she do it? She did! Thanks to the guidance of director Julio Medem and his talented team, Natasha was able to fully immerse herself in the role. The nomination for the award surprised and delighted her, as she had not set such a goal for herself. She simply enjoyed her work and received immense pleasure from it.
In 2011, Natasha appeared in the adventure comedy "Captain Thunder and the Holy Grail" as a princess and, the following year, in the film "Aftershock". Currently, she continues to live in Spain, shuttling between Barcelona and Madrid, leading a vibrant life filled with love for people and a positive outlook on the future.
