Pioneer in the Asbestos Industry
Born on November 27, 1907, in the village of Gulyaevo, Udmurt ASSR, to working-class parents, Soviet mining engineer would become a pivotal figure in the asbestos industry.
Early Career and Education
In 1925, he began his career as a machinist in a factory in Izhevsk. After graduating from the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute in 1935, he was assigned to work in the city of Asbest.
Managing the "Soyuzasbest" Trust
From 1938 to 1953, he served as the manager of the "Soyuzasbest" and "Asboruda" trusts. During World War II, he played a vital role in converting the asbestos plant to produce military supplies while ensuring the continued production of asbestos. For his contributions to the war effort, he was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor in 1944.
Leadership of the Bazhenovo Construction Department
In 1954, he became the head of the Bazhenovo Construction Department. From 1962 until his retirement, he served as the director of Factory No. 5 of the "Uralasbest" combine.
Honors and Recognition
Throughout his career, he received numerous honors and awards, including:
