The Origins of NERVY

In 2010, Ukrainian musician Yevhen Milkovsky laid the foundation for the rock band NERVY. Prior to forming the group, Milkovsky pursued a solo career, releasing the popular track "Stantsiya Tuman" several years earlier. This track gained immense traction through social media.

Milkovsky's Early Life and Musical Influences

Born in 1991 in Krasnoarmeysk, Ukraine, Milkovsky grew up in a musically inclined household. His mother, a talented pianist, instilled in him a love for music. Inspired by his mother's artistic passion, Milkovsky began composing his own songs by the age of 10. At the age of 14, his uncle gifted him a guitar, igniting his fervent desire to create and record music.

"Fabryka Zirok" and Professional Breakthrough

The turning point in Milkovsky's musical journey came when he was selected as a participant in the Ukrainian reality show "Fabryka Zirok-1" in 2007. Despite being a relatively young 16-year-old, he gained valuable stage experience and established connections within the industry.

Formation and Rise of NERVY

Following his stint on "Fabryka Zirok," Milkovsky collaborated with the producer of the band Quest Pistols to form NERVY. While pursuing a degree in culture, Milkovsky dedicated his time to songwriting. In March 2011, the band gained widespread attention after releasing the music video for their song "Batarei." They followed this success with the release of "NERVY."

Band Members and Lineup Changes

Besides frontman and guitarist Yevhen Milkovsky, the current lineup of NERVY includes drummer Oleksiy Bochkov and lead guitarist Roman Bulakhov. Former bassist Dmytro Dudka departed the band in 2014.

Hiatus, Label Changes, and Reunification

In August 2014, NERVY disbanded temporarily. Milkovsky announced his departure from their record label, Kruzheva Music, and deleted all the band's music videos from YouTube. However, the hiatus was short-lived. In April 2015, the band announced their reunion and signed with the label Gazgolder, headed by Russian rapper Basta. After two years with Gazgolder, the band terminated their contract but continued to collaborate on special projects.

Musical Evolution and Success

NERVY embarked on major concert tours across Russia in early 2012. They received nominations for two prestigious awards that year: "Breakthrough of the Year" at the MUZ-TV Awards and "Best Russian Artist" at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Over the years, NERVY has released five studio albums. Their second album, "Chtoby My Smogli Drug Druga Uslyshat," was an acoustic release distributed in a limited-edition gift box.

The band's musical style has been a subject of debate among fans. While some categorize it as rock, others view it as rock-and-roll or even pop-rock, reminiscent of the early Beatles.

Present Day NERVY

NERVY continues to release music and videos primarily through the social media platform VKontakte. In December 2017, they premiered the second part of their fifth album, "Samyy Dorogoy." The band is currently touring Russia and the CIS countries to promote the album.

In addition to their VKontakte presence, NERVY maintains an active Instagram account, where they share updates, performance clips, and photographs. Bandleader Milkovsky also has a personal Instagram account, where he shares professional and personal content, including photos of his partner, singer Diana Ivanitskaya. During a concert in Ivanovo in March 2018, Milkovsky proposed to Ivanitskaya.
