Early Life and FamilyNicole Tom, an American actress, was born in Hinsdale, Illinois. Her older sister, Heather Tom (three years older), and brother, David Tom, are both actors and have won Emmys for their roles in the CBS soap opera "The Young and the Restless" (1973).
Breakthrough Roles
Tom rose to fame in the early 1990s as Maggie Sheffield in the sitcom "The Nanny" and as Ryce Newton in the family film "Beethoven." She reprised her role as Ryce in "Beethoven 2" but did not appear in the subsequent sequels due to outgrowing the part.
Television and Film Career
Before her breakout role in "The Nanny," Tom gained recognition for her portrayal of Sue, Scott Scanlon's sister, in "Beverly Hills, 90210." From 1998 to 2006, she provided voices for the "Supergirl" character in the DC animated universe.
Tom has appeared in numerous television shows and films, including "Frozen Angel" (2000), "Panic" (2000), and "The Princess Diaries" (2001). She had a significant role in "Criminal Minds" (2008), where she starred alongside her brother, David.
