Biography of Nicole Appleton
Nicole Marie Appleton, a Canadian singer and member of the popular group All Saints, was born on December 7, 1974, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. She was the youngest of four sisters (besides Nicole, the family also raised Lori, Lee, and Natalie).
Formation of All Saints
In 1983, Appleton enrolled in the Sylvia Young Theatre School, where she met Melanie Blatt. Throughout their school years, they remained best friends. After graduating in 1995, Nicole, Melanie, Natalie (Nicole's older sister), and Shaznay Lewis formed the group All Saints. The collective signed a contract with London Records, and in 1997, their first album, "All Saints," was released.
Romance with Robbie Williams and Controversy
That same year, Nicole Appleton met the famous pop singer Robbie Williams during the filming of the movie "Top of the Pops." They began a passionate romance, which resulted in Nicole's pregnancy. Although Robbie was open to having a child, London Records, according to the terms of their contract, demanded drastic actions. Nicole had to have an abortion.
All Saints' Success and Breakup
In 2000, All Saints released their second album, "Saints & Sinners." However, the group eventually disbanded in 2001 due to the scandalous reputation of the Appleton sisters. Their personal lives were filled with rumors and gossip, and their appearance in the film "Honest," where Natalie and Nicole Appleton appeared naked, added fuel to the fire.
Formation of Appleton and Solo Career
Following the breakup of All Saints, the Appleton sisters formed the duo Appleton. In 2003, they released their debut album, "Everything's Eventual." That same year, the BBC aired a documentary film, "Appleton Appleton," which focused on the lives and careers of the Appleton sisters.
Relationship with Liam Gallagher and Marriage
Even before the breakup of All Saints in 2000, Nicole Appleton had met musician and frontman of Oasis, Liam Gallagher. In July 2001, they welcomed their son, Gene Appleton Gallagher. Although Nicole and Liam's relationship was relatively stable, they didn't officially tie the knot until seven years later on February 14, 2008, in London.
Continuing Music Career
In the same year, Appleton released their second album, "40." Nicole Appleton continues to pursue her music career and remains a respected figure in the music industry.
