Nicole Christine Jemie Laplaca was born on January 3, 1986, in Vancouver, Canada, to parents of Italian descent. She has an older sister, Jennifer.
Early Life and Career
Nicole's passion for the performing arts began at a young age. She sang in the Vancouver Children's Choir and studied dance. She made her film debut in 2000, and from 2003 to 2008, she also appeared in various theater productions.

In 2004, LaPlacas received a "Leo Awards" nomination for Best Actress in a Short Drama for her role in the film "Shores." She gained wider recognition for her roles in the popular teen movies "John Tucker Must Die" and "Another Cinderella Story."
