Nikki Taylor, born Nicole Taylor, is an American model who achieved success at a young age. She was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Ken Taylor, a sheriff's deputy, and Barbara Taylor, a photographer. Nikki grew up in Pembroke Pines, Florida, where she attended school. She has an older sister named Joelle and a younger sister named Christine, who was also a model but tragically passed away at the age of seventeen from arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia in 1995.

At the age of thirteen, Nikki signed a contract with Irene Marie Models, a studio based in South Florida. It was here that she met photographer Jean Renard, who later became her manager. Shortly after, Nikki won the "Fresh Faces" competition in New York and earned a $500,000 contract with a modeling agency.

Nikki's modeling career took off when she appeared on the cover of Seventeen magazine at the age of fourteen in August 1989. By the age of fifteen, she had graced the cover of Vogue magazine, becoming the youngest model ever to do so.
