Biography of Nikolay Kras'ko

Nikolay Kras'ko was born on January 1, 1935, in the Kharkov region. He graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (MarhI) in 1965. From 1968, he became a member of the Union of Architects of Russia. Kras'ko started his career in 1965 at the Kuybyshevgrazhdanproekt Institute, where he worked as an architect and later became the chief architect of the project.

In 1979, Kras'ko joined the Samara State Architectural Academy (SamGASA) as an associate professor and head of the Department of Architecture and Planning. He held this position until 1993 when he joined the company "Rosproekt." From 1998 to 2002, Kras'ko served as the chief architect of the project at ASC "PAREkS."

Throughout his career, Kras'ko has been involved in numerous projects and constructions. Some of his notable works include the development of a residential area for 27,000 residents in the 15th microdistrict (in collaboration with A. Khakhalin), the construction of the Balneological Center at the Metallurg Plant and the building of the Regional Office of the State Bank of the USSR.

Kras'ko's architectural designs also extend to other countries. He worked on the construction of the "Samara" restaurant in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, and the brewery restaurant on the embankment of the Zhigulevsk Brewery (in collaboration with V. Rzhevsky).

Apart from his contributions to urban planning and architecture, Kras'ko has also been involved in the design and construction of various temples and churches. Notable examples include the Holy Spirit Church at the Iversky Convent, the Orthodox church in honor of the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, and the Church of St. Tikhon in the Komsomolsky district of Tolyatti (in collaboration with Yu. Astakhov).

Throughout his career, Kras'ko has received recognition for his work, including the monument to Galaktionov on Galaktionovskaya Street and the memorial plaque with the bas-relief of Zubchaninov in the village of Zubchaninovka. Additionally, he collaborated with sculptor A. Kudinov on the monuments to Vilinov and N. D. Kuznetsov.
