Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Nina Nesbitt was born in Livingston, Scotland, on April 11, 1994. Her musical journey started in her bedroom, where she recorded songs and uploaded them to her YouTube channel. At the age of 12, she moved to Balerno, a village just outside Edinburgh.

Early Career and Collaborations (2011-2012)

In 2011, Nesbitt met Ed Sheeran before one of his concerts in Edinburgh. She impressed him with her songwriting and guitar playing, and he invited her to open for him on his European tour. She also performed as the opening act for Example after he heard her cover of "Stay Awake."

The Apple Tree and Success (2012-2013)

Nesbitt released her second EP, "The Apple Tree," in 2012. It reached number 6 on the iTunes download charts and earned her a spot on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart. She embarked on her second UK tour in October 2012 in support of her debut single, "Boy."
