Biography of Oksana Bilozir
Oksana Bilozir is a Ukrainian singer and political activist. She was born on January 29, 1957, in the town of Zalishchyky, Ukraine. Bilozir is recognized as a People's Artist of Ukraine (1994) and also holds the title of professor (2003).
Political Career
Bilozir is a member of the faction "Our Ukraine Bloc" and has been actively involved in politics. She became a member of the faction in April 2006 and later served as its deputy chairman from July 2006. Bilozir is also a member of the Council of the Our Ukraine National Union since March 2005.
In addition, she holds the position of Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Mutual Assistance" since 2003. Bilozir is also the Deputy Chairman of the National Commission on Foreign Ukrainians since 2006.
Family and Education
Bilozir's father, Vladimir Iosifovich Rozumkevich, is a retired individual, and her mother, Nina Vasilievna Rozumkevich, passed away in 2004. Her first husband, Igor Iosifovich Bilozir, died in 2000. She is currently married to Roman Stefanovich Nedzelsky, who is the General Producer of "Ukraine Tour". Bilozir has two sons, Andrey Igorovich Bilozir and Yaroslav Romanovich Nedzelsky.
She attended the Lviv Music and Pedagogical College named after F. Kolessa in 1976 and later graduated from the Lviv State Conservatory named after M. Lysenko in 1981. Bilozir also obtained a Master's degree in Foreign Policy and Diplomacy from the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1999.
Creative Work
Bilozir has released 15 albums, 1 DVD, and has appeared in 10 musical films throughout her career. She is known for her beautiful voice and has garnered a significant following in Ukraine.
Languages and Hobbies
In addition to her native Ukrainian, Bilozir is fluent in Polish and English.
Outside of her professional life, Bilozir enjoys playing backgammon and engaging in tourism activities.
