Early Life and Club Career

Born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, Vitaliy Dovhanyuk began his football journey with youth clubs RVUFK Kyiv and Dynamo Kyiv. He joined Dynamo-3 in 2003 and subsequently played for Dynamo-2 in the Ukrainian First League.

In 2007, Dovhanyuk made his Dynamo first-team debut against Arsenal Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League. He also participated in the UEFA Champions League group stage that year, facing teams like AS Roma and Sporting CP.

Loaned out to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in 2009, Dovhanyuk played 7 league matches during his six-month stint. Upon his return to Dynamo in 2010, he spent the first half of 2011 with Sevastopol in the Ukrainian First League.

Although he trained with Volyn Lutsk during the summer of 2011, Dovhanyuk was not offered a contract and rejoined Dynamo's second team. He later moved on loan to Hoverla Uzhhorod in 2012 and then to Zirka Kropyvnytskyi in 2013.

At Zirka, Dovhanyuk established himself as a key player and eventually became the team's captain. In 2016, he played a pivotal role in their Ukrainian First League title victory.

International Career

Dovhanyuk represented Ukraine at the U-19 and U-21 levels. He featured in the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup, playing in all four group stage matches before Ukraine's elimination by Nigeria.

In 2008, Dovhanyuk made two appearances for Ukraine's senior national team against Cyprus and Serbia, despite not being a regular starter for Dynamo.

Coaching Career

In 2021, while playing for Uzhhorod, Dovhanyuk became assistant coach to Bogdan Blavatsky.
