Oleg Synegubov: A Jurist, Politician, and Leader

Education

Oleg Synegubov was born on August 10, 1983, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. After graduating from the Kharkiv General Education School No. 147, he pursued higher education at the National University of Internal Affairs, where he specialized in law and earned a qualification as a jurist. Synegubov later obtained a Candidate of Legal Sciences degree and became an associate professor.

Law Enforcement and Academia

Synegubov's early career focused on law enforcement. From July 2004 to May 2005, he served as an investigator in the Investigative Department of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs on the Southern Railway. He later worked as an adjunct at the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs from May 2005 to December 2007.

In August 2008, Synegubov entered academia, becoming a senior lecturer at the Department of Civil Law Disciplines at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Law, Economics, and Sociology of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He defended his dissertation on "Civil Law Protection of Honor, Dignity, and Business Reputation of Police Officers" in 2008. Synegubov subsequently served as a lecturer from March 2009 to July 2011 and as Deputy Dean for Educational and Methodological Work from July 2011 to November 2015.

Political Career

Synegubov's foray into politics began with his role as a trusted person for Alexei Krasov, a candidate for Parliament from the "Servant of the People" party in the 2019 parliamentary elections. In October 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers approved his appointment as Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration. On November 11, 2019, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Synegubov as Chairman of the Poltava Regional State Administration.

On December 16, 2021, Synegubov was appointed Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. With the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he became Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Recognition

Oleg Synegubov's accomplishments have earned him recognition. In 2022, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree for his contributions to the defense of Ukraine. He has also authored over 70 scientific papers and is a member of the expert council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
