Biography of Olga Oleksii

Olga Oleksii was born on September 17, 1980, in Kyiv. As a child, she attended a music school and participated in dance classes for many years. She never intended to become an actress, as she was a very shy and introverted child. Performing on stage in front of a large audience was terrifying for her, and she often struggled with stage fright. However, she decided to overcome her fear and pursue her passion for acting.

After completing school, Olga moved to Kyiv to study at the Karpenko-Karyi University. To her surprise, she was accepted into the acting program after her audition. She studied under the renowned theater director Mikhail Yuryevich Reznikovich and graduated with a diploma performance in the play "Tartuffe," where she played the role of Dorine.

Following her graduation, Olga became an actress at the Lesya Ukrainka Russian Drama Theater, led by her mentor Mikhail Reznikovich. She has performed numerous memorable roles in plays such as "In the Clutches of Passions," "Madame Minister," "A Little Princess," "The Incredible Ball," "Upside Down," "Masquerade," "The Importance of Being Earnest," "Inheritance," and "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

Olga made her film debut in 2007, playing the lead role of Lisa in the Ukrainian film "Tormoznoy Put" (Brake Path). She went on to appear in other Ukrainian films such as "Neodinokye" (Loners), "Trinadtsat Mesyatsev" (Thirteen Months), and "Razluchnitsa" (The Betrayed).

Her breakthrough role came in the war drama trilogy "1941," "1942," and "1943," where she portrayed Alena, a woman caught in a complex love triangle during wartime. Olga found the role challenging but rewarding, and she particularly enjoyed the opportunity to shoot realistic action scenes.

Olga has received acclaim for her performances in films such as "Vera, Nadezhda, Lyubov" (Faith, Hope, Love), "Prostaya Zhizn" (Simple Life), "Plennitsa" (The Captive), "Prestuplenie v Fokuse" (Crime in Focus), "Lichnoe Delo" (Personal Case), and "Prigovor Idealnoy Pary" (The Sentence of the Ideal Couple).

While Olga considers herself primarily a theater actress, she also enjoys working in film. She appreciates the connection with the audience and the opportunity to fully immerse herself in a role on stage. However, she also values the process of filmmaking and the challenge of delivering a performance directly for the camera.
