"Dom-2" and Bisexuality
In 2008, at the age of 18, Sokol joined the Russian reality show "Dom-2." She openly declared her bisexuality, but her attempts to pursue a relationship with another female participant were unsuccessful. Instead, she embarked on a tumultuous romance with Alexander Gobozov.
Turbulent Relationship with Gobozov
Initially, Sokol's relationship with Gobozov was strained. He was critical of her domestic skills, while she yearned for affection. Rumors of an affair with a production staff member further damaged their bond. Despite numerous breakups and reconciliations, their relationship ultimately ended.
Finding Love Beyond Reality TV
After leaving "Dom-2," Sokol admitted that she had been pressured by producers to disclose her bisexuality. In 2011, she met Oleg, a man who would change her life. They fell in love and married in 2017.
Transformation and New Ventures
Inspired by the film "Eat, Pray, Love," Sokol embarked on a year-long transformation project. She created a list of 365 tasks to improve various aspects of her life and documented her journey on a YouTube channel.
Writing and Immigration Plans
Sokol also discovered a talent for writing. She began creating scripts for American comedy shows, translating her work from Russian to English. Together with her husband, she plans to relocate to the United States, where she hopes to pursue her writing career.
Health Challenges and Recovery
In 2018, Sokol faced health issues. Diagnosed with a severe case of retinal detachment, she underwent emergency surgery. Despite the setback, she encourages her followers to prioritize their health and seek medical attention when needed.
