Olivia Hastings Holt was born on August 5, 1997, in Germantown, Tennessee, and grew up in Nesbit, Mississippi. She later lived in Memphis before moving to Los Angeles with her family in 2011. Holt's acting career began with local theater productions, and by the age of 10, she was already appearing in television commercials for various brands.

Holt's physical fitness and gymnastics training played a significant role in her early success as an actress. Her breakthrough came in 2011 when she landed the role of Kim in the Disney XD comedy series "Kickin' It."
