Mohammed Al-Shalhoub: A Saudi Arabian Football Legend
Early Life and Club CareerMohammed Al-Shalhoub was born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and began his professional football career in 1999 with Al-Hilal. Despite initially being expected to join Al-Ittihad, Al-Shalhoub surprisingly opted for their fierce rivals.
Under the guidance of Al-Hilal, Al-Shalhoub has achieved remarkable success, winning numerous domestic and continental titles. Notably, he has claimed three Saudi Pro League Championships, five Saudi Crown Prince Cups, and the AFC Champions League.
International Career
Al-Shalhoub made his debut for the Saudi Arabian national team in 2000. He represented his country at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups. While he has not lifted the Asian Cup, he has been part of teams that finished as runners-up in 2007. Additionally, he has won the Arab Nations Cup and two Gulf Cups of Nations.
