Onur Saylak, a beloved Turkish actor and director, was born on May 12, 1977, in Ankara. He spent his childhood in Kuşadası and Aydın, fondly recalling the carefree years spent playing outdoors with friends. After graduating from high school, Saylak initially pursued a physics degree at the Middle East Technical University before transferring to Ankara University to study public administration. However, a passion for acting drew him to the university's theater club, sparking his decision to enroll in Bilkent University's Department of Theater.

Saylak's early stage performances at the Ankara State Theater included acclaimed roles in two of Nazım Hikmet's plays.
