Orhan Yilmazkaya: Turkish Revolutionary, Journalist, and Writer
Born in Germany to Turkish parents, Orhan Yilmazkaya returned to Turkey in the 1980s to study political science at Ankara University. After graduating, he pursued a career in journalism and editing.

In a five-hour shootout with the Turkish police, he was killed along with an innocent bystander and a police officer. Before his death, he vowed to resist the police assault, stating, "I am a fighter and will fight until the end."

His memory is honored by the Continental Bolivarian Movement, a political organization that advocates for social justice and anti-imperialism.
