Biography of Otto Fredrikson

Otto Fredrikson is a Finnish football player and goalkeeper who has represented the Finnish national team. He was born in Valkkioski, a city located in southwestern Finland. In the late 1980s, Fredrikson and his family lived in Steinfurt, a town in West Germany, where he actively participated in the performances of the city's youth team. After returning to Finland in 1990, Otto played for the youth team of the football club "Haka". From there, he moved to Oulu in 1995, where he began his professional career, playing for lower league clubs in Finland such as "Oulun Luistinseura" and "Tervarit".

After a successful performance at the 2001 FIFA Youth World Championship in Argentina, Otto caught the attention of scouts from German club "Borussia Mönchengladbach", but he did not play any matches for the main team, only appearing in 15 matches for the second team in the Oberliga. In January 2004, he returned to Finland and played on loan for "Jaro". He made his debut in the Veikkausliiga on May 7, 2004, in a match against "Haka" (0:2). From his debut onwards, Otto was the main goalkeeper for "Jaro" and played 52 matches for the club. In December 2005, Otto terminated his contract with "Borussia" and moved to Norwegian club "Lillestrøm". He made his debut in the Norwegian league on May 28, 2006, in a match against "Sandefjord" (1:2). Together with "Lillestrøm", Otto won the Norwegian Cup in 2007. In February 2010, he transferred to Russian club "Spartak-Nalchik", signing a three-year contract with the club from the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria. He made his debut in the Russian Premier League on March 13, 2010, in an away match against "Anzhi".

Fredrikson has also represented the national teams of Finland at all age levels. He was a participant in the 2001 FIFA Youth World Championship in Argentina as a member of the youth team. He made his debut for the senior national team on May 29, 2008, in a friendly match against Turkey.
