Early Life and Education
Armenian politician and statesman, was born in Armenia. In 1991, he graduated from the Kirovakan branch of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, earning a degree in mechanical engineering of road construction machines and mechanisms.
Work Experience
From 1985, he worked as a construction worker in the Noyemberyan Automobile Plant. From 1991 to 1993, he was the chairman of the cooperative "Marina" in Noyemberyan.
Public Service
In 1993, he became an inspector at the Noyemberyan State Tax Inspection of Armenia. From 1994 to 1998, he held various positions within the Bagratashen Customs Office, including deputy head and head of the office.
In 1998, he was appointed head of the Bavra Customs Office within the Shirak Territorial Customs Office of the Ministry of State Revenues of Armenia. From 2000 to 2001, he was the head of the Bagratashen Customs Office and later became the head of the Gogavan-Privolnoye Customs Office.
Parliamentary Career
On May 25, 2002, he was elected to the Parliament of Armenia, where he served as a member of the Standing Committee on Financial, Credit, Budgetary, and Economic Affairs. He was also a member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
From 2003 to 2007, he was re-elected to Parliament, continuing his membership on the same standing committee and the RPA.
Gubernatorial Appointment
In 2007, he was appointed the head of the Bagratashen Customs Office. On May 15, 2014, he was appointed the marzpet (governor) of Tavush Province.
