Early Life and Olympic TriumphPyrros Karasevas was a Greek Olympian who emerged as the first champion of marksmanship in the inaugural 1896 Summer Olympics. He competed in three shooting events: the 200-meter military rifle, 300-meter free rifle, and 25-meter military pistol. In the first discipline, he reigned supreme, accumulating a remarkable 2,350 points. In the second, he secured a respectable fifth place, though his exact score remains undocumented. Unfortunately, Karasevas did not complete the pistol competition.
