Biography of Patrick Dixon
Patrick Dixon is a British author and business consultant who is often referred to as a futurist. He was named one of the 20 most influential business thinkers in 2005, according to the private research study 'Thinkers 50' published in 'The Times'. Dixon is the chairman of 'Global Change Ltd', a company specializing in trend forecasting, and the founder of the global network of agencies 'ACET', focused on HIV prevention. In 2010, Dixon was included in the 'Happy List' of 'The Independent on Sunday'. This list featured 100 individuals from the United Kingdom who contributed to making Britain a 'more balanced and happier country'. Dixon was recognized for his work with the 'ACET' agency and other projects related to the issue of AIDS.

Early Life and Career
Patrick Dixon studied medical science at King's College, Cambridge University, and continued his medical education at the Charing Cross Hospital in London. In 1978, while still a medical student, Dixon founded the IT startup 'Medicom'. His company sold medical software in the UK and the Middle East. After qualifying as a doctor, Patrick began caring for cancer patients at St Joseph's Hospice and later joined the 'Community Care Team' at University College Hospital. He also continued his involvement in IT consulting. In 1988, Dixon launched the charitable project 'ACET' and published his first book, 'The Truth about AIDS'. This book served as a warning about the impending AIDS epidemic that later hit many countries in Africa. The 'ACET' agency rapidly expanded, providing home care services throughout London and other parts of the UK. Additionally, a national sex education program was launched in schools, reaching over 450,000 students.

Current Work and Publications
Dixon stepped away from his medical practice but remained actively involved in 'ACET' as the chairman of the agency network. Today, this network provides care for HIV patients worldwide and implements prevention programs, sharing its knowledge and values with 23 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Currently, Dixon consults with major corporations across various industries. He is responsible for trend forecasting, strategy development, risk management, and driving innovation. Thousands of business leaders turn to him for assistance every year. Since the 1990s, Dixon has written 15 books covering a wide range of topics, including social networks, multi-channel marketing, consumer behavior, demographics, emerging economies, healthcare, biotechnology, politics, business ethics, and more.

His book on global trends, 'Futurewise', was first published in 1998. It lists nearly 500 scenarios for the future, divided into 'six dimensions'. The book emphasizes the importance of emotional reactions to events, suggesting that they often hold greater significance than the events themselves. 'Futurewise' also focuses on 'managing uncertainty' and risk management. In 2005, Dixon published the book 'Building a Better Business', which explores a new approach to leadership, management, marketing, teamwork, branding, customer relations, strategy, and corporate governance. In this book, Patrick asserts that successful leadership stems from a shared commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients, employees, shareholders, and communities.

In 2010, Dixon co-authored the book 'Sustainagility' with Johan Gorecki, which discusses green technologies and innovation across a wide range of industries. The book provides practical steps for business leaders and government officials to implement sustainable practices, such as the responsible use of power, new energy grids, nuclear energy, and more. Patrick is married to Sheila, and together they have raised four children. One of their children, Paul Dixon, is a singer and guitarist in the music project 'fyfe'.
