Early Life and Career

Born in the small town of Guarapuava, Brazil, VOG began playing mini-football at an early age. At the age of 8, he faced the choice between indoor or outdoor soccer.

Professional Debut

At 18, VOG joined his hometown club Batel. He started with the youth team and eventually made his way up to the first team. From there, he moved to the renowned São Paulo FC.

Swiss Adventure

Beginning in 2000, VOG played for several second-tier Swiss clubs. With Sion, he scored 25 goals, becoming the Challenge League's second-highest scorer and helping the club gain promotion to the Swiss Super League. In the Swiss Cup, he played in 6 matches, scoring 6 goals. He also contributed to the team's Swiss Cup victory.

Ukrainian Interlude

In 2006, VOG signed a three-year contract with Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk. Due to financial difficulties, Sion was willing to sell their top scorer. VOG's transfer fee was estimated to be around half a million dollars.

Loan Stint

In March 2007, VOG was loaned to Ukrainian club Stal Alchevsk, where he wore the number 20. He made a total of 3 appearances for the team.
