Pavlo Kyrylenko: A Biographic Overview
Early Life and EducationPavlo Oleksandrovych Kyrylenko was born on 8 July 1986. In 2008, he graduated from the Yaroslav the Wise National Law Academy of Ukraine with a degree in Law.
Legal Career
Kyrylenko began his career in the Ukrainian Prosecutor's Office in July 2008 as an Assistant Prosecutor. He subsequently held various positions, including Prosecutor of the Department, Deputy Prosecutor, Prosecutor of various Prosecutor's Offices, and Head of the Investigative Department of the Prosecutor's Office. He served in Prosecutor's Offices in Donetsk Oblast, Crimea, and the General Prosecutor's Office.
Military Service
On 22 September 2017, Kyrylenko was appointed Military Prosecutor of the Uzhhorod Garrison in Western Ukraine.
Appointment as Chairman of Donetsk Oblast State Administration
On 26 June 2019, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the appointment of Kyrylenko as Chairman of Donetsk Oblast State Administration, which also serves as the head of the regional military-civil administration.
Family
Kyrylenko's older brother, Yevheniy Kyrylenko (born 1984), formerly worked in Ukrainian law enforcement but switched allegiance to the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in 2014. He currently serves as an operative in the DPR's Ministry of State Security.
Kyrylenko is married to Alla Kyrylenko, who works in the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the Uzhhorod City Council. They have two children. Kyrylenko's parents reside in DPR-controlled territory.
