Biography of Pavel Pashaev
Pavel Pashaev is a Ukrainian and Azerbaijani footballer who plays as a defender. He was born in Ukraine and grew up in Kremenchug. In addition to football, he also practiced judo in his childhood under the guidance of coach Sergey Muradyan. He joined the youth team of Kremenchug's "Atlant" and later joined the reserve team of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the summer of 2004.
Career in Ukraine
Pashaev made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League on September 20, 2008, playing for Dnipro against Tavriya Simferopol. In the 2009/10 season, he became a key player for Dnipro. He later played for Kryvbas and then went on loan to Lviv's Karpaty for a year. In June 2014, he joined Zaporizhia-based Metalurh, but left the club at the end of 2015 due to its dissolution. In January 2016, he signed a six-month contract with Azerbaijani club Gabala.
International Career
Pashaev represented the youth national teams of Ukraine, playing for the U17, U19, and U21 teams. He made his debut for the senior national team of Ukraine on February 10, 2009, in a friendly match against Slovakia. However, as he did not play any official matches for the senior team, he expressed his desire to play for the Azerbaijani national team. In May 2015, FIFA granted him permission to switch his national team allegiance, and he received his first call-up to the Azerbaijani team shortly after. He made his debut for Azerbaijan on November 17, 2015, in a friendly match against Moldova.
Personal Life
Pavel had a twin brother named Maxim Pashaev, who also played football for Dnipro and Kryvbas. Unfortunately, Maxim passed away in a car accident in 2008. Despite their surnames, Pavel and Maxim are not the sons of football coach Vagif Pashaev.
