Philippe Köhn: Early Career and Club Journey

Philippe Köhn's football journey began in the youth systems of Blau-Weiß Dinglaken 09, MSV Duisburg, FC Schalke 04, and VfB Stuttgart. After a brief stint at Stuttgart, he made the move to RB Leipzig. However, without making any appearances for the club, he was transferred to Red Bull Salzburg.

Setbacks and Recovery

Köhn's time at Red Bull Salzburg was marked by injuries. In July 2018, he suffered a knee injury that sidelined him for a month. Subsequently, he broke his ankle in March 2019, resulting in a lengthy absence of 184 days.

Loan Spell at FC Wil

In July 2020, Köhn was loaned out to FC Wil in the Swiss Challenge League. He made his debut for the club against FC Aarau and kept his first clean sheet against Lausanne-Sport. During his loan spell, he played 33 matches, conceding 41 goals and registering seven clean sheets.

Return to Red Bull Salzburg

Upon his return to Red Bull Salzburg, Köhn made his debut against S.V. Ried. His first clean sheet for the club came against FK Austria Wien. However, another knee injury setback in May 2022 forced him to miss 41 days of action.

International Career

Köhn has represented Germany at youth levels, playing 10 matches and conceding 16 goals. He was called up to the Switzerland U21 squad for the European Championship but did not feature. Subsequently, he made 13 appearances for the Switzerland U21 team. At the senior level, he has been called up to the Switzerland national team for matches against Italy, Bulgaria, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
