After graduating from high school, Favino pursued his theatrical ambitions by enrolling in the prestigious Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica Silvio D'Amico in Rome. In 1993, Favino made his screen debut in Alberto Negrin's "Una Questione Privata." The following year, he starred alongside Antonella Attili in Lino Capolicchio's sports drama "Pugili."
