Pierre Bouvier
Pierre Bouvier (born May 9, 1979) is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the pop-punk band Simple Plan.
Early Life and Career
Bouvier was born in Montreal, Quebec, to Réal and Louise Bouvier. He has two older brothers, Jay and Jonathan. He attended school in the Pierrefonds area of Quebec with future Simple Plan bandmates Jeff Stinco, Sébastien Lefebvre, and Chuck Comeau. Before joining Simple Plan, Bouvier worked as a dishwasher in Montreal.
At the age of 13, he and his best friend Chuck Comeau formed the punk-rock band Reset, with Bouvier on bass and vocals.
Simple Plan
In 1999, Reset merged with another local band, Second Opinion, to form Simple Plan. Bouvier became the lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the band. Simple Plan released their debut album, "No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls," in 2002, which achieved platinum status in Canada and the United States. The band has since released six more studio albums, including "Still Not Getting Any...," "Simple Plan," "Get Your Heart On!," "Taking One for the Team," "Harder Than It Looks," and "Boom."
Personal Life
Bouvier is married to Lachelle Farrar (Bouvier). The exact date and location of their wedding are unknown. He proposed to Lachelle in 2012 or 2013, and they had been in a relationship for several years prior to that, with photos of them together appearing online as early as 2004. Bouvier has stated that they have known each other "literally their whole lives." The couple has two daughters, Lennon-Rose and Sorel Bouvier. Their exact dates of birth are also unknown, but based on available photos, both girls bear a striking resemblance to Pierre, particularly in the shape of their noses and eyes.
Role Model Clothing
Pierre Bouvier co-founded the clothing line Role Model Clothing with Chuck Comeau and Patrick Langlois. The clothing line is currently inactive, but products, particularly T-shirts, can still be purchased on eBay.
