Princess Victoria of Sweden
Princess Victoria Ingrid Alice Désirée, Crown Princess of Sweden and Duchess of Västergötland, was born on July 14, 1977, in Solna, Stockholm County, Sweden. She is the eldest child and heir of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.

Crown Princess in Waiting
Victoria became a Swedish princess at birth, but it was not until 1979 that she became the Crown Princess. The change in succession laws in 1979 established absolute primogeniture, meaning that the throne would pass to the eldest child regardless of their gender. This decision was opposed by Victoria's father, who preferred more traditional forms of succession.

Struggles and Education
In 1996, it was revealed that Victoria was suffering from anorexia. She received professional help and was able to overcome her eating disorder. During her education, Victoria studied in France and the United States. She attended the Catholic University of the West in Angers, France, and later studied a wide range of subjects at Yale University. She also completed a basic military training course.

Duties and Engagements
As the heir to the throne, Victoria is an active member of the Swedish royal family. She regularly attends official events and fulfills her duties as head of state in the absence of the ruling king. Victoria participates in council meetings on foreign affairs and government briefings with ministers. She also represents Sweden on international visits and engages with foreign dignitaries.

Personal Life and Marriage
Victoria has had two significant relationships in her life. Her first boyfriend was Daniel Collert, whom she met during their school years. After Victoria moved to the United States, Collert followed her to New York. However, their relationship ended in 2001. In 2002, Victoria began dating Daniel Westling, her personal trainer. Their engagement was announced in 2009, and they married on June 19, 2010. The wedding was attended by over 1,200 guests and received widespread public support.
Motherhood and Future Inheritance
On February 23, 2012, Victoria gave birth to her first child, Princess Estelle. Estelle is second in line to the throne, following her mother. As Victoria continues her duties and prepares for her future role as Queen, she remains a beloved and respected member of the Swedish royal family.
