Early Life and Education

Kohir Rasulzoda was born on March 8, 1961, in the Khistavarz district of Tajikistan. In 1982, he graduated from the Tajik Agricultural Institute as a "hydro-engineer."

Professional Career

After graduating, Rasulzoda worked as a technician in the construction laboratory of "Tajikirshovhossroy" in Khujand. He held various leadership positions within the organization, including Chief Engineer, Head of PMK-4, and eventually Head of the "Tajikirshovhossroy" enterprise.

Political Career

In 2000, Rasulzoda became the Minister of Land Reclamation and Water Resources of Tajikistan. In December 2006, he was appointed Acting Chairman of the Sogd region. From 2007 to 2013, he served as the Chairman of the Sogd region.

In 2007, Rasulzoda changed his name from Abdukohir Nazirov to Kohir Rasulzoda. He was elected First Deputy Chairman of the National Council of the Parliament of Tajikistan in 2007 and again in 2010.

Premiership

On November 23, 2013, Rasulzoda was appointed Prime Minister of Tajikistan, succeeding Oqil Oqilov. He received congratulations from the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Mykola Azarov.

Personal Life

Rasulzoda is married and has three children.
