Radosław Majecki: A Rising Star in Polish Football

Radosław Majecki is a Polish goalkeeper currently playing for Cercle Brugge on loan from Monaco and the Polish national team. Born in Starachowice, Poland, Majecki began his football journey at Arka Pawłów football academy in 2009. Two years later, he joined the academy of Ostrovia Ostrów Świętokrzyski.

Early Career and Legia Warszawa

From 2014, Majecki featured prominently in Legia Warsaw's youth teams. During the 2017/18 season, he was loaned out to Stal Mielec, where he made 32 appearances in the Polish second division.

On October 30, 2018, Majecki made his debut for Legia's first team in a Polish Cup match against Piast Gliwice. He also made his Ekstraklasa (Polish top division) debut on November 3, 2018, against Górnik Zabrze, keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory.

Transfer to Monaco

In January 2020, Majecki signed a four-year contract with French club Monaco. He made his Ligue 1 debut on September 13, 2020, against Nantes, playing the full 90 minutes and conceding one goal. In the 2020/21 Coupe de France, he played in all six matches, reaching the final before losing 2-0 to Paris Saint-Germain.

International Career

Majecki has represented Poland at various youth levels, from the U-16s to the U-21s. In 2019, he was called up to the senior Polish national team but did not make an appearance. He debuted for the Polish U-21 team on September 4, 2020, in a European Championship qualifier. He played three matches, conceding only one goal and keeping two clean sheets. However, Poland U-21 ultimately failed to qualify for the 2021 European Championship.
