Early Life and InfluencesRa'im Farhadi was born on May 16, 1942, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. His childhood was spent amidst the vibrant gardens and historic landmarks of the city's Baghi Shamal district. Inspired by the beauty of his surroundings, Farhadi began composing poetry at a tender age.
Medical Education and Literary Pursuits
Farhadi pursued a medical degree from Samarkand Medical Institute, but his passion for literature never waned. While practicing medicine, he continued writing poetry, publishing his first collection, "Morning Song," in 1964.
Literary Breakthrough and Recognition
Subsequent works, such as "Ant Metro," "Dreamer," "Gardens of the Winds," and "Frescoes of Afrasiab," cemented Farhadi's place as a renowned poet. His poems were widely published and translated into various languages.

In 1973, Farhadi attended the Higher Literary Courses in Moscow, expanding his knowledge and artistry. Upon his return, he held prestigious positions in literary publications, including the "Star of the East" magazine and the Gafur Gulam Publishing House. Farhadi was married and had two daughters and grandchildren. He passed away in Tashkent on April 4, 2024, at the age of 81.
