Early Career and Rise through the RanksRaúl Jiménez is a Mexican forward who made his debut for Club América in 2011. Following impressive performances for both club and country, he drew interest from European clubs and eventually joined PSV Eindhoven in 2013.
Triumphs in Spain
In 2014, Jiménez moved to Atlético Madrid for €10 million. Despite initially struggling for playing time, he eventually established himself as a key player, contributing to the club's Supercopa de España victory in 2014.
New Beginnings in Portugal
In 2015, Jiménez signed for Benfica, paying €1 million for the transfer and an additional €3 million to acquire 50% of his rights. He quickly became a regular starter at the Lisbon club, helping them win the Primeira Liga title in 2016 and 2017.
International Career
Jiménez has been a regular feature in the Mexican national team since 2013. He made his debut in a friendly against Denmark and played in the 2013 Confederations Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup. In 2016, he won a bronze medal at the Copa América and was part of the squad that reached the semi-finals in 2017 at the same tournament.
