Rich Froning Jr., born in Mount Clemens, Michigan, is an American professional athlete who has gained worldwide recognition in the sports project 'CrossFit'. Since 2011, he has consistently claimed the top spot in the competitions and has been awarded the title of the 'Fittest Man on Earth' four times. Froning currently resides in Cookeville, Tennessee.

From Baseball to CrossFit

During his school years, Froning actively played baseball and achieved impressive results, earning a position as the second baseman in the district and regional teams. He also played football, although without the same level of success. Froning's baseball skills even helped him secure a college scholarship. Interestingly, shortly after starting college at Tennessee Technological University, Froning decided to officially part ways with baseball.

Discovering CrossFit

While working at the local fire department, Froning became interested in the CrossFit project. His passion for the sport grew, and in 2010, he became a CrossFit coach and started competing professionally. Froning's journey in CrossFit began with regional games, where he emerged as the best in his region, earning him a spot in the national games.

Becoming the Fittest Man on Earth

In 2011, Froning brilliantly compensated for his previous loss and won the title of the 'Fittest Man on Earth' at the CrossFit Games. He continued his winning streak in 2012, 2013, and 2014, securing four consecutive victories. To this day, Froning remains undefeated and shows no signs of leaving CrossFit in the near future.

A Unique Approach to Nutrition

While many professional athletes follow strict training and dietary regimens, Froning takes a different approach to nutrition. He listens to his body and eats what it craves at any given time, without adhering to any specific diet. His dietary choices, such as consuming peanut butter and whole milk, may surprise many athletes. Froning typically eats very little during the day and enjoys a substantial meal in the evening and night. Protein shakes also play a significant role in his diet.

Unrelenting Dedication to Training
