Rider King Strong was born on December 11, 1979, in the United States. He is a professional American actor in film and television. Strong gained fame for his outstanding portrayal of Shawn Hunter in the comedy "Boy Meets World".
Early Life and Career
Strong was born in San Francisco, and his mother worked as a teacher and nutritionist. In 1997, he graduated from high school. The Strong family has many creative individuals, with his older brother, Shiloh Strong, being a well-known actor and writer.
At the age of 9, Strong began his career by appearing in the film "Gavroche". He then went on to have small roles in talk shows and TV series. In 2004, he obtained a higher education degree from Columbia University.
Success in Television
In 1992, Strong landed his first significant role, playing Julia Andrews' son in the series "Julie". After completing this project, he worked on the film "Benefit of the Doubt". It was only after this role that the aspiring actor auditioned for the series "Boy Meets World". This show brought Strong real success among millions of viewers. Over the course of seven years filming the series, he was nominated twice for "Best Upcoming Actor".
In 2006, Strong appeared in several episodes of the series "Child Star Confidential". Following this work, the actor decided to focus solely on feature films. His role as Paul in the film "Cabin Fever" became his next project. However, at the end of 2006, he changed his perspective and returned to television. Strong began starring in the series "Pepper Dennis".
Current Projects
Currently, Strong is involved in the filming of the movie "Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever". The release of this film is planned for the end of 2008. Outside of his career, Rider Strong is also active in the political life of his country. He is a supporter of democratic views and actively supports Barack Obama's presidential campaign. Specifically for Obama's presidential program, Strong released several videos urging people to vote for Obama. As of now, Rider Strong is single and has no plans to get married in the near future. In his free time, he enjoys writing poetry and short stories.
