Rina Ronja Kari is a Danish left-wing politician who has served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 2014.

Early Life and Education

Kari pursued mathematical studies at Roskilde University. During this time, she became actively involved in trade union activities.

Political Career

In 2004, Kari was elected as the spokesperson for "Youth Against the EU." She subsequently played a prominent role in the leadership of the People's Movement Against the EU (Folkbevægelsen mod EU).

European Parliament Candidacy

In 2008, Kari was nominated as the second-ranked candidate on the People's Movement Against the EU's list for the European Parliament elections. She later became an MEP after the party's success in the May 2014 elections.

European Parliament Membership

As an MEP, Kari represents the Left-Green coalition and is a member of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) group in the European Parliament.
