Early Life and Education

Dmytro Kuleba, a prominent Ukrainian statesman, was born on April 19, 1981. He holds a bachelor's degree in international law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and a PhD in law.

Early Career in Diplomacy

Kuleba began his diplomatic career in 2003 as an attaché with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. He held various positions, including third secretary, second secretary, and first secretary.

Work at Permanent Representation in Vienna

From 2005 to 2009, Kuleba served at the Permanent Representation of Ukraine to International Organizations in Vienna, focusing on OSCE affairs.

Return to Ministry of Foreign Affairs

In 2010, Kuleba returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held senior positions, including head of department and counselor. In 2013, he became an advisor to Vice Prime Minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko.

Strategic Communications and Public Diplomacy

In 2014, Kuleba returned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Ambassador for Special Assignments for Strategic Communications. He played a key role in developing and implementing Ukraine's strategic communications, incorporating modern technologies, and enhancing public diplomacy.

Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe

On April 9, 2016, Kuleba was appointed Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the Council of Europe. He received recognition as the best Ukrainian ambassador abroad by the Institute of World Politics in 2017.

Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration

Kuleba was appointed Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration in August 2019. He oversees Ukraine's European and NATO integration efforts.

Personal Life

Kuleba's father is Ivan Kuleba, a Ukrainian diplomat. He is married to Yevheniya Kuleba, founder of the "City-Garden" organization. They have two children: Yehor and Lyubov.
