Two years later, Derbyshire's journey continued with a trip to Athens for the unofficial Olympic Games. This time, he showcased his prowess as a swimmer, claiming a bronze medal in the 4x250m relay.
London Glory
At the 1908 London Games, Derbyshire competed in two swimming events. While he failed to advance past the preliminary round in the 100m swim, he joined forces with his teammates in the 4x200m relay. They set a world record in the semifinals and subsequently won the gold medal in the final.
Stockholm Appearance
Derbyshire's Olympic career concluded in Stockholm in 1912, where he once again participated in the 100m swim. As in his previous attempt, he was eliminated in the preliminary round.
