Robert Bernard Fowler

Robert Bernard Fowler is an English footballer and striker. He currently plays for Cardiff City after his contract with Liverpool ended. Fowler began his career at Liverpool, making his debut in 1993. He scored 120 goals in eight years for the club, becoming a legend of the team.

Departure from Liverpool

In 2002, Fowler had to leave Liverpool due to disagreements with manager Gerard Houllier and his assistant Phil Thompson. Some Liverpool fans believe that Fowler's absence was a key factor in the team's failure to win the league title in the 2001-2002 season and subsequent seasons.

Time at Leeds United and Manchester City

Fowler spent five years at Leeds United and Manchester City before returning to his hometown club in January 2006. With Liverpool, Fowler reached the final of the 2007 Champions League, where his team lost 1-2 to AC Milan.

Move to Cardiff City

On July 1, 2007, Fowler became a free agent and later joined Cardiff City. However, recurring injuries prevented him from playing at his full potential. On January 17, 2008, it was announced that Fowler would miss the rest of the season due to more serious injuries than initially thought. Despite his contract with the club expiring that summer, it is expected to be extended for another year.

Achievements

Fowler is the fourth highest goalscorer in the history of the English Premier League, behind Thierry Henry, Andy Cole, and Alan Shearer. He also holds the record for the "fastest" hat-trick in Premier League history, scoring three goals against Arsenal in just 4 minutes and 33 seconds on August 28, 1994, at Anfield.

International Career

Fowler played 26 matches and scored 7 goals for the England national team. His last appearance for the national team was at the 2002 World Cup.
