Nevertheless, he stood out as the only Polish figure skater capable of executing the remarkable backflip.

Despite his struggles with technical elements, Grzegorzczyk carved his name in history at the 1999 European Championships, where he secured an impressive 11th place finish. In 2001, he bid farewell to his amateur career, leaving an indelible mark on Polish figure skating.
