Early Career and Debut

Juan Sebastián Verón began his professional football career in 1997 with the Argentinian club Quilmes. After a brief stint with Mallorca B in Spain, he returned to Quilmes in 1998. In 2001, he joined Unión de Santa Fe before finally moving to Estudiantes in 2004.

Success with Estudiantes

At Estudiantes, Verón quickly established himself as a fan favorite. He played a pivotal role in the club's recent victories, including their Apertura 2006 championship, their first in over two decades. In 2008, he led the team to their first international competition final in over 30 years, the Copa Sudamericana. The team eventually reached the final of the Copa Libertadores in 2009, securing their fourth title in club history and their first since 1970.
